COLQUITT, GA. (WTXL) -- We're just one week away from opening night for Georgia's official folk life play, "Swamp Gravy," and tickets are going fast.

The annual show in Colquitt opens to the public Friday, October 5th at 7:30, and runs through the end of October.

This year's performance is titled "Fourth and Long," so audiences can expect to see a football-related story line.

But you don't have to understand the game to enjoy the play, or the songs!

Cast members of all experience-levels have come together to tell another story about Colquitt.

"We've been working really hard," says Will Murdock the artistic director for the show. "I sound like a football coach! We've been working really hard this week and ready to get out on the field. They are definitely putting in their all. They are giving us so much of time and love and effort. We're definitely ready. We're excited to have an audience and that will really lift us up even higher. We're definitely ready to get out there."

Tickets can be purchased online at www.swampgravy.com or by calling the "Cotton Hall" box office at 229-758-5450. Due to the popularity of the show, tickets cannot be guaranteed at the door.
