VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL)--Three people are shot in Valdosta. Police say one of the individuals could have been firing in self-defense.
At 1:15 a.m., police were called at to Park Chase Apartments on Statenville Road.
When officers got there, they found Travis Roberts, Quinton King, and Cecila Simmons with gunshot wounds. Police say there was an argument outside of building H which led to gunfire. Roberts was taken to South Georgia Medical Center.
He's being charged with two counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of firearm during the commission of a crime. King was shot several times.
He was taken to SGMC as well. He was later transferred to Shands Hospital, but he's expected to survive. Simmons was shot in the leg.
Police say the initial investigation shows King may have been firing in self-defense.
