SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Three people from Lake City are in the hospital after a car crash in Suwannee County.
It happened about 5 p.m. Sunday on Highway 90.
Florida Highway Patrol says Meliton Perez was driving east when he veered across the other lane of traffic into the grass shoulder.
When he drove back onto the road, he collided with an SUV driven by 70-year-old Phyllis Johnson.
Perez was airlifted to Shands Hospital in Gainesville with life-threatening injuries.
Johnson is recovering at Lake City Medical Center with serious injuries.
The passanger in Perez's car also went to Lake City Medical Center with minor injuries.
