SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - The Florida Highway Patrol says that three pediatric patients have been airlifted after a rollover crash on U.S. 90 on Tuesday, July 11.

Troopers report that the crash happened around 6:45 a.m., on U.S. 90 near the entrance to Suwannee Correctional Institution.

Teodoro Castro, 40, of Live Oak, Fla. was driving a 1999 Toyota eastbound on U.S. 90 when he thought a car was going to pull out in front of him. He then swerved to the left traveling into westbound lane.

Then he over-corrected steering back right. The car traveled back eastbound and began to rotate in a counter clockwise direction and overturned several times.

The three children were not wearing seat beats and were airlifted to Shands UF Gainesville for serious injuries.

Castro is being charged for Careless Driving, Child Rest Violations, and Outstanding Arrest Warrants.
