WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Three 18-year-olds have been arrested for an armed robbery at the Spring Creek Kangaroo Gas Station.
Noah Sanders, Jaevon Griffin, and Joseph Grubbs were all arrested over the weekend.
The Wakulla County Sheriff's Office says deputies were patrolling the area of Coastal and Spring Creek highways on Saturday when they saw a grey Honda Element speeding westbound on Coastal Highway with its headlights off.
The deputy got behind the car and was notified that a car matching the one he was following had been involved in a robbery at the Spring Creek Kangaroo Gas Station.
WCSO says the deputy tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver didn't stop and instead lead deputies on a high speed chase on Coastal Highway.
After a short chase, however, the car was stopped in the area of Coastal Highway and Lonesome Road.
The three men were removed from the car and arrested. Upon searching the car, deputies found two guns and the cash that was stolen from the gas station.
A store clerk told police the armed men came into the gas station with bandannas over their faces, demanding money. Once they got it, the men drove away in the suspect vehicle.
All three have been charged with armed robbery. Sanders was also charged with fleeing and eluding.
