TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--To many women shopping, relaxing, and even dancing are a few of their favorite things. Women got to take part in all that and more at the What Women Want event.
"We've exceeded our expectations," said Dot Ealy, the Cumulus Media Vice President/Market Manager. "We have everything a woman could dream of from a health check to a brand new pair of stilettos."
Vendors say this year's event is bigger than ever, some had to bring extra staff and merchandise to prepare for the crowds.
Organizers say the event gives vendors tons of exposure with thousands passing by their booths, buying jewelry and trying all sorts of different foods.
"We get to meet the customers and interact with a large number of women and get to find out what they like and what they don't like, what they're interested in and get immediate feedback," said vendor Ashley Quick.
It's estimated 5,000 people attended. WTXL ABC 27 was a proud sponsor. Our anchors and reporters were out there. Anchor Abbey Maurer was an emcee.
"This is an event that started as a vision that came to reality," said Ealy. "That's what Cumulus is about serving the community."
Organizers say they plan to do it all again next year!
