THOMASVILLE, GA (WTXL) - A woman is dead in Thomasville after police say a neighbor reported her home was on fire.
Katrina Presha died from smoke inhalation Wednesday morning, according to the Thomasville Police Department.
Police say a neighbor called 911 when she saw the home in the 200 block of Cassidy Road was on fire.
Firefighters were able to put out the blaze and found Presha in a bedroom at the back of the home, according to police.
They attempted to resuscitate her but police say she could not be revived. Presha was 42-years-old.
The Fire Marshall says a pot was left unattended on a stove and caused the fire.
