THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL) - The Thomasville Police Department reminding drivers to slow down today in school zones.
Children will be present for the start of the school year.
Officers will be patrolling all school zones to check for speeders. They advise parents to leave home a little earlier to accommodate for increased traffic.
They also want drivers to be on the lookout for school buses picking up and dropping off students.
It's the law so don't pass a school bus when it has its red flashing lights and stop sign activated.
