Thomasville Police: Chicken De-Lite employee fights off robber

THOMASVILLE, Ga. -- Thomasville police are looking for a suspect after an armed robbery attempt at the Chicken De-Lite Restaurant on Jackson Street.

Police say the robbery happened around 8:50 on Tuesday evening. A suspect walked into the business with a gun. An employee told police he was in the back of the restaurant cleaning when the incident happened.

The employee pulled out a knife and began fighting with the suspect. The employee was able to take the gun away, and the suspect ran out of the restaurant.

Police say the suspect didn't take any money from the restaurant. He is still at large.
