Thomasville Police arrest man connected to Wednesday morning shooting

THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL) --A man is now facing charges after a shooting that took place on Wednesday, December 26.

The man, 30-year-old Marcus Flem Williams, was arrested by Thomasville Police for shooting another man, Jamal Hayes.

Police say the two men were fighting at about 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning in the 700 block of Fletcher Street. The fight ended when Williams reportedly shot Hayes in the abdomen. 

Hayes is currently at Archbold Memorial Hospital, where he is said to be in guarded condition. Williams has been charged with aggravated Battery.

THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL)--Thomasville Police are investigating an early morning shooting.

They say a fight broke out at the 700 block of Fletcher Street around 2:30 Wednesday morning. When police arrived on scene, they learned the shooting victim was at Archbold Memorial Hospital.

Police say 35-year old Jamal Hayes was shot in the abdomen. Thomasville Police Lt. Eric Hampton say right now police are questioning possible suspects. No arrests have been made.
