Thomasville couple dies after crash

THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL)--A Thomasville couple is dead after a crash with a gas tanker.

Georgia State Patrol troopers say 77-year-old Phyllis Herndon was killed on impact after she pulled out in front of a tanker at the intersection of Georgia State Route 133 and Highway 122 in Brooks County around 5:30 Friday afternoon.

Her husband 81-year-old George Herndon, the passenger, died on the way to the hospital. The driver of the tanker 52-year old Monty Hack of Webster, Florida survived.
