THOMAS COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) - After a weekend of severe weather in our area, heavy rains are expected again and might cause problems on the roads.
In Thomas County many roads were flood for several days after the rainy weekend.
Now, the county is preparing for more road closures and flooding, with three crews already out removing debris and prepping for the impact.
Jay Knight, Construction Superintendent of Thomas County Public Works, emphasizes to not drive through bodies of water.
"We ask that no one drives through water and if you do come up see water, please turn around. Please give us a call at our office," said Knight. "Let us know where the location of where that waters coming through and then from then we will come out and take a look at it."
