THOMAS COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) - Officials say the hurricane forming in the Gulf could impact Thomas-County as early as Tuesday afternoon.
The Thomas County Emergency Management-Agency has cited the Tallahasee National Weather Service numerous times, using it as a guideline for how the community should prepare.
They say if you don't feel safe now is the time to leave.
Thomas County Sheriff's Captain Steve Jones says they're re-arranging schedules this week to make sure they have enough resources available if anything happens.
