THOMAS CO, Ga. (WTXL) - Folks in Thomasville may have looked out of their windows to the sight of a lot of snow falling from the sky this morning.
Thomas County EMS shares some tips for residents to follow during this wintry weather.
If you are going to be outside, make sure you wear layers. They also recommend wearing some gloves and a hat to cover your ears and head.
Skin exposure is also a big thing to keep in mind and make sure you are fully covered.
EMS staff says its important to watch out for signs that you may be too cold.
EMS officials say Hypothermia is a medical emergency and if you do experience that, you need to call 911.
EMS personnel say they will have one of their trucks come out and they have protocols in place to warm the person up.
