TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- A third person has been arrested in connection with the Magnolia school in Tallahassee.
Sharon McQueen, who is listed as a middle school teacher on school's website, was arrested Tuesday and charged with failing to report suspected child abuse.
The school released a statement saying that "We are surprised and troubled by news that, stemming from the same previous incident, another teacher has been arrested for failure to report suspected abuse. Any such failure is not consistent with the school's core principles that place our highest value on student safety. Our hearts go out to the child involved. We are continuing to cooperate with police, and we will be reviewing the arrest information to determine what steps we will take next."
Sunshine Jacobs and Kathleen McGlynn were arrested in March. According to police, Jacob and McGlynn were told by a student about the abuse in January. The staff members then developed developed a “safety plan” for the student which included the victim, suspect and victim’s mother, said police.
At this time we are still working to confirm how McQueen is involved in this case.
