TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Tuesday night concluded the final debate for the Florida governor's race between current Governor Rick Scott, a republican, and republican-turned - democratic candidate Charlie Crist.

It was a back and forth debate, that at times, even the moderator could not even settle down. Each candidate shared their standpoints, but most of the time, were slamming one another's values while in office.

They covered topics ranging from medical marijuana, to how Florida State University is handling allegations with multiple athletes.

Moderator Jake Tapper asked, "Governor Crist I want to ask you, there have been a lot of questions raised recently about the Florida State University football team, specifically, that some FSU players have gotten away with crimes."

Crist responded by saying, "But this isn't just an issue at Florida State, this is an issue across our country."

Gov. Scott answered by saying, "My goal is to have every athlete, every student be held to the highest standards and the same standards."

WTXL ABC27 Political Contributor Trimmel Gomes gave his thoughts on the debate during WTXL ABC27 News at 11.
