TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- The Tallahassee Ballet will present the classic "Beauty and the Beast" on May 10-12.
The performance will be the culmination of the local troupe's 40th anniversary season. It's an original version of the classic created by artistic director Rick McCullough.
The event will take place at the Nancy Smith Fichter Dance Theatre, which is in Florida State University's Montgomery Hall. Event organizers say that the venue has raised seating that will give audience members the perfect perspective to view the depth of choreography and moving, digital scenery.
The following is a schedule of performances:
Friday, May 10, at 8:00 p.m. - Opening Night
Saturday, May 11, at 10:30 a.m. - Children's Abbreviated Performance
Saturday, May 11,at 8:00 p.m. - Full-length Evening
Sunday, May 12, at 2:30 p.m. - Full-length Matinee
The cost is $20 for children 12 years of age or younger, $35 for adults, and $25 for Senior Citizens.
