The Company will take its dancers around town and pop up in surprise locations this holiday season. The first location will feature the dancers at the Downtown Getdown on Friday, November 13.  Other pop-up locations are slated for December and are designed to remain a surprise for the community.
The Ballet Company is growing and transitioning to reach a broader audience.
“For years we’ve been known as a professional classical company,” said Janet Pichard, Executive Director of The Tallahassee Ballet. “But since Tyrone Brooks joined us about two years ago, we’ve really changed our approach to performances, creating new opportunities to reach a more diverse audience.”
The Company is also getting the community involved by using social media in the Everything Dances campaign. They are is asking the community “What’s your rhythm?” and encouraging people to answer the question via a short video or photo and post to social media using the hashtag #EverythingDances.
