TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- The blind and visually impaired were given an exclusive chance to connect with wildlife Saturday.
The Sea Mobile made a stop in Tallahassee, allowing participants to interact with the animals first hand. The Sea Mobile is a traveling sea lab sponsored by Duke Energy and The National Federation of the Blind.
Tom Harrah with the Gulf Specimen Marine Lab says it's a great experience for visually impaired people to "see" marine life.
"They get to learn about them and I tell them about the animals," said Harrah. "It's a good experience for them and sort of something interesting and fun to do on a beautiful fall Tallahassee day."
The Sea Lab was at the Lighthouse of the Big Bend. Last year, it was featured in the Tallahassee Winter Festival Parade.
