TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Domi Station is teaming up with the First Commerce Credit Union to help area businesses expand their companies.
The Power-Up Program is working to help area entrepreneurs revamp their already up and running businesses and to help them in turn continue to grow the start up community.
Five companies have been chosen to take part in the year long incubator initiative.
They'll work with local experts on ways to expand their market footprint, deliver new products and learn how to properly scale their business.
Organizers say it's important for even established business work on improving and they hope what they learn can then be passed on to help those who are just starting out.
"It's a culture. You see another entrepreneur and she's building her business from the ground up and you can say I've been there before, let me help you. Whether it be through advice or counsel, whether it be a financial contribution or actual annual investment a lot of those things matter and they go along way," said Dominick Ard'is with Domi Station.
The five businesses taking part in this year's power-up program are, Nic's Toggery, Chop Barbershop, Catalina Café, the Florida Aviation Center, and Secure Records Solutions.
