TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- Leon County and Tallahassee city officials are hoping to improve the community by getting members of it to connect around the dinner table for a second time.

The first time the program was held, "The Longest Table," offered a seated dinner event in Park Avenue between Calhoun and Gadsden streets. The goal was to open dialogue about issues that affect the community. The city says over 400 people participated in the free event.

This time, community members will be opening up their own homes to smaller groups in hopes of continuing the conversation. This time the dinner is scheduled to take place Sunday, June 26 at 5:30 p.m.
