TALLAHASEE, FL. (WTXL) - Later this month, the Old Capitol will be turning purple, in honor of Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness month.
Alzheimers disease is the sixth leading cause of death in the US, and the state of Florida has the second highest incidence rate in the country, with over 500-thousand Floridians living with the disease.
The capitol will turn purple on June 16th to spotlight the growing healthcare epidemic.
