FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) - An eighth person has been charged in the escape earlier this month of a murder suspect who bolted out of a Florida courthouse.
Court records show 21-year-old Armonie Frankson-Dennis is facing escape and other charges for allegedly assisting 21-year-old Dayonte Resiles. The Sun Sentinel reports she appeared Wednesday in court and is being held on $150,000 bail.
Resiles escaped with accomplices' help from the courthouse July 15 and was on the lam nearly a week before his capture at a West Palm Beach motel. He is charged in the stabbing death of a woman whose family founded the Halliburton oil services company.
Authorities say Frankson-Dennis was spotted on surveillance video with Resiles at a flea market after his escape. Her attorney says she came forward to help investigators.
