TALLAHASSEE, FLA. (WTXL) - A Jewish outreach organization in Tallahassee held their 15th annual Jewish community celebration today at Lake Ella.
At the Chanukah Popcorn Menorah Lighting, the organization lit a menorah and also featured live entertainment, latkes, dreidels, face painting, and music. It was all a part of a Hannukah celebration that the organization says is important to spread through the community.
The public event is a part of the organization's community outreach... designed to make traditional practices, like Hannukah, more meaningful.
Nine-foot menorahs will also be displayed at the Tallahassee mall, Tallahassee regional airport, city hall, several Publix supermarkets, and the governor's mansion and office.
