TFD Respond to Two Weekend Fires

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Fire crews staying busy in Tallahassee this Saturday after two separate house fires. 

The first happening early Saturday morning, just before 3AM. Firefighters responded to a home in the 3000 block of Fairview Drive, after reports of thick smoke coming from the roof. Officials say the blaze was caused by cooking left unattended. All damage was contained to the kitchen, estimated at nearly 7-thousand dollars. Nobody inside the home was injured.

Just hours later, Crews were called out to the 2100 block of High Road where they found a home fully engulfed in flames. Officials say no one was home at the time of the incident. According the fire department, the damage costs nearly $100,000. The cause of that fire, still under investigation.
