TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Fire Department is honoring veterans over some BBQ.
The event took place Friday at the Veterans Village. The Tallahassee Fire Department hosts this event every year and is an opportunity for the community to show support to those who fought for our freedom.
"Its tremendous, all of the veterans in the program every year look forward to this," said Shawn Knowles, Regional Veterans Director for Volunteers of America of Florida.
This is the one of many events happening this weekend leading up to Veteran's Day this Monday that recognizes the sacrifices people have made for our country.
