TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Three adults and seven children are without a home after an electrical fire broke out in their mobile home on Bayberry Drive.

Ten people were in the trailer when the blaze began about 1 a.m. Friday, the Tallahassee Fire Department said.

Crew arrived shortly after to an address in the 1300 block of Bayberry Drive to find three-quarters of a mobile home engulfed in flames.

The fire was extinguished within ten minutes after burning three-quarters of the trailer, said TFD Captain Tom Pescatore. Three TFD stations responded to the fire.

Thankfully, the 10 occupants inside escaped the home before firefighters arrived. TFD says the occupants consisted of three adults and seven children.

One adult resident suffering from smoke inhalation was transported to the hospital. No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is determined to be electrical in nature. The damage of the home is estimated to be $40,000.

Red Cross is currently assisting the family.
