TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Thousands of dollars worth of tools are now gone after a homeowner's workshop caught fire.
The Tallahassee Fire Department says that crews responded at 12:34 p.m. to the home on Oakmont Road near the Lake Jackson area this afternoon.
When they arrived, an elderly couple's workshop was fully engulfed behind their home.
Crews were able to completely put out the fire within 15 minutes.
The couple has lived at the home for more than 40 years.
Firefighters say the only damage to the home appears to be some melted siding from the heat of the flames.
Homeowners say their neighbors noticed the fire before they even did and called it in.
No injuries were reported thought crews say the building is a total loss.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
