TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Temporary cold night shelters are open for Thursday, February 4 through Tuesday, February 9.
The Shelter and the Big Bend Homeless Coalition say these are the places individuals should go to if they are in need of shelter during those nights:
Single Adults
Any adult male or female who needs temporary shelter from cold weather during this time should report to The Shelter at the Kearney Center 2650 Municipal Way. This cold night shelter is coordinated by The Shelter. Dinner is from 7pm-8pm on weekdays and 6pm-7pm on weekends and sleeping accommodations are assigned at 8pm.
Families with Children
Any family with minor children who needs temporary shelter from cold weather during this time should report to the Family Emergency Shelter at HOPE Community located 2729 W. Pensacola St. This cold night shelter is coordinated by the Big Bend Homeless Coalition. Dinner is from 5pm-6pm and sleeping accommodations are assigned at 7pm.
