TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - With cold temperatures expected in the area this weekend, Tallahassee and Leon County are teaming up with local faith-based organizations to offer shelter from the elements.
On the evening of Saturday, February 15, any adult male who needs temporary shelter from the weather should report to The Shelter at 480 West Tennessee Street by 6:45 p.m.
The Shelter will provide transportation to the Temporary Shelter at Jacob Chapel Baptist Church, located on 2333 Lake Bradford Road. That shelter opens at 9:00 p.m., and closes at 6:30 a.m. the following morning. Women and families with children will stay at The Shelter.
