Teen Killed in Gadsden County Crash

GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Troopers say that a 18-year-old is dead after a Sunday night crash in Gadsden County.

The Florida Highway Patrol said that Syndey Holland of Marianna was driving south on County Road 269 around 8:10 p.m. on Sunday when they said her car traveled off the road and onto the shoulder.

They said that she failed to follow a left curve in the road. 

Holland's car hit a culvert before it collided into a tree, finally stopping the vehicle.

Troopers say Holland was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital where she later died from her injuries.

Toxicology reports are pending. 

The Florida Highway Patrol was assisted by Gadsden County Sheriff's office, Gadsden County Emergency Medical Service, Sycamore Fire Department.
