LAKELAND, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a teen is dead from an apparent drowning at a central Florida lake.
The Ledger (http://goo.gl/LD1jSH) reports that 14-year-old Eduardo Gonzalez had been fishing and swimming at Crystal Lake in Lakeland Saturday afternoon. His father reported him missing later that night when he didn't come home.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office reports that the teen's body was discovered Sunday morning in about 8 feet of water about 28 feet from the shore.
An autopsy will determine an official cause of death, but authorities say it appears to be a drowning.
