JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Investigators have arrested a 15-year-old in connection to the theft of several four wheelers and a dirt bike from Greenwood.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Office says that over the past week, they have been investigating the thefts of multiple four wheelers and a stolen dirt bike.
On Wednesday, deputies were in the area of Oscar Road and Greenwood area looking for the stolen dirt bike. They eventually spotted a dirt bike on the road, but the driver ran away.
JSCO says that they chased the suspect a short way before the driver came to a stop and was detained.
The driver was identified as a 15-year-old male from Greenwood who was already on juvenile supervision with the Department of Juvenile Justice.
The teen was charged with three counts of grand theft and one count of fleeing and attempting to elude. He was transported to the Department of Juvenile Justice Detention Facility in Panama City.
During the investigation, deputies were also able to recover two four wheelers as well as the stolen dirt bike. They say the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.
