TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Tallahassee Community College will have smaller class sizes starting this spring semester.

TCC made the announcement on social media Wednesday afternoon.

"Students are our priority at TCC," school officials wrote. "Over the past year, we have been making plans to create a student centered college community with you in mind."

School officials say lowering class sizes will encourage students to actively participate in learning and help support their academic success.

Due to the lowered class sizes, students are encouraged to register early for classes. Registration is open now and classes begin on Jan. 7.

"Please note that we will not be allowed to enroll students in classes that are full to ensure small class sizes," officials wrote.
