TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL) - Tallahassee Community College is celebrating Veterans Day early.
TCC held their Second Annual Yellow Ribbon Celebration Day. The event, took place inside TCC's Student Union Ballroom and featured free food, games and fun for the community.
Multiple students and community organizations were in attendance, including TCC's Health Care Professions group that taught participants key factors of CPR.
Tuesday's events were hosted by the college's Student Veteran's Association.
According to Student Veteran Association President Michael Richards, "It's to show support to our veterans, there's a lot of veterans that don't get the help that they need once they get out of the military, and they're left to fend for themselves. So that's what we're here to do, to help them get their life back on track and to get back into civilian life."
Earlier this year, TCC was once again named one of the top military friendly colleges in the country by Military Advanced Education Journal.
