TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Tallahassee Community College announced it was awarded an $100,000 gift Monday.
The donation was awarded by Refreshment Services Pepsi and Vending at TCC's district board of trustees meeting. The gift came as a part of college's "TCC We Rise" campaign that aims to expand and maintain the campus. The Foundation has announced numerous major gifts since it kicked off the capital campaign in March.
The gift will include a $25,000 investment in technology upgrades, furniture and maintainence of a classroom and another $25,000 to create an endowed scholarship. It also includes $50,000 to support the renovation of TCC's athletic center.
“With this generous gift, Refreshment Services Pepsi & Vending is demonstrating their commitment to the College and to our community,” said Heather Mitchell, executive director of the TCC Foundation. “These investments will tangibly enhance the student experience at TCC.”
