TAYLOR COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A voluntary evacuation order has been issued for all coastal areas in Taylor County.
The Taylor County Board of County Commissioners have signed a local state of emergency for Subtropical Storm Alberto.
As part of the state of emergency, a voluntary evacuation order has been placed for all coastal areas. They say the evacuation order was issued due to the uncertainty of the timing of landfall, as tidal levels will affect the storm surge prediction.
The Taylor County Sheriff's Office will also be out around coastal areas of the county to warn residents.
This is a developing story. If more evacuation orders are issued/cancelled in the Big Bend area, we will update this story.
