TAYLOR COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - As local officials monitor Hurricane Irma, officials in Taylor County are reminding you to get your medical essential service forms signed immediately.

The last day to sign those forms is Friday, and they won't be accepted during Irma.

If you have a medical condition that requires the use of life-sustaining equipment, you're advised to take advantage of the medical essential service program by the Tri-County Electric Agency.

It sends a prior notice of power interruption, giving you time to secure back-up power for your medical equipment.
