BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WALB) - The construction for Taurus gun manufacturer is underway in Bainbridge .
The 205,000 square foot building will supply 300 jobs for Decatur County.
Bainbridge leaders say this will help revitalize the rural area.
"It's going to be a big shot in the arm, because not only is it going to be 300 plus jobs, it's 300 plus paying jobs," said Rick McCaskill. "So, we are really excited about that. Of course it's going to take us a little over a year to get it built, and it's going to take it."
They hope the new Taurus plant will be finished by the end of August 2019.
