TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--A Tampa teenager is dead after a car crash on I-10 in Jefferson County.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers say 18-year old Amanda O'Keefee Pierce was driving an Acura when she swerved to miss stopped traffic on the interstate, then hit a tree Friday night.
The traffic was stopped due to two previous crashes. She and her passenger Taylor Alexandra Lazzara, also 18 years old and from Tampa were taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
Pierce died around 1 p.m. Saturday.
Lazzara has been released from the hospital.
