TAMPA, Fla. - The Tampa Police Department is investigating an armed robbery and shooting taking place at a local liquor store.
Authorities say at approximately 10:49 p.m. last night two suspects, Cody Bolesta, 20, and another unidentified suspect, entered the liquor store wearing ski masks and hoodies. The two individuals then pointed guns at the clerk, Willie Morris, 57, while demanding money.
Morris pulled out a gun, and at least one of the suspects fired at him. The clerk also fired, striking Bolesta. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
At this time, police says the case appears to be one of self-defense, but the case will be presented to the State Attorney's Office for a final determination.
The clerk, Morris, was not injured, and second suspect fled the scene.
