TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee woman wanted for trying to attack her boyfriend with a meat cleaver has been arrested.

Lori Lee was arrested over the weekend for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

According to a court document, the incident happened on May 10.

The document states that the victim and Lee had been living together for about a year, when he woke up that morning to his girlfriend standing over him, holding a knife to the side of his neck.

When he asked what she was doing, he told deputies that Lee said she was going to kill him "for calling the cops last night."

The document said that the victim saw that his bags were open and his clothes were all over the floor. The victim told police that when he asked Lee why she was going through his things, she stated again that she was going to kill him.

As Lee started to swing the knife threateningly toward the victim, the victim got out the house though the back door.

The victim told police that Lee began hitting the door with the knife, breaking the glass in the door. At some point, Lee lost her grip on the knife, dropping it, but then picked up a "6 foot bamboo cane" and began beating the victim.

Eventually the victim was able to grab the cane and throw it away from her. The victim then ran away, managing to get away from her.

Lee is being held in the Leon County Jail on a $15,000 bond.
