TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee woman was killed Saturday evening after walking in front of a car on I-10.
Gynell Langhorne, 32, was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital where she later died from her injuries.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 7:23 p.m. Saturday on I-10 WB at mile marker 202.
FHP stated Langhorne's car ran off the road and hit a tree. For unknown reasons, Langhorne got out of her car and walked south onto I-10, directly in front of a 2005 Buick LeSabre.
FHP said the driver of the LeSabre tried to avoid hitting Langhorne, but couldn't avoid the collision.
Langhorne died from her injuries.
FHP stated alcohol did not play a factor in the accident. According to FHP charges are pending.
