TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - A Tallahassee woman is behind bars after being accused of forging dozens of checks for over $100,000.
Leon County Sheriff's Office said that Shannon Weston was arrested on Tueday. Deputies said she forged more than 100 checks form Tallahassee Dodge Chrysler Jeep where she worked.
According to an internal audit of the company, Weston took nearly $125,000 dollars from the dealership.
She is charged with grand theft, forgery, and organized scheme to defraud. Officials said she was also terminated from her position at the company once they discovered the fraud.
Her first appearance in court was scheduled for Wednesday morning.
