TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) -- A good samaritan is bringing meals to local law enforcement agencies as a token of appreciation for the work they do for the community. Miriam Rysdyk says local stores have donated food to her, such as bagels and cream cheese from The Original Brooklyn Water Bagel Co., and fried chicken from Piggly Wiggly.

Earlier this week she brought breakfast to Tallahassee Police (TPD) and Thursday afternoon, she brought lunch to the deputies and staff of Leon County Sheriff's Office. What sparked her motivation was seeing the reaction from the Dallas shootings, and she says law enforcement needs to be thanked every day, not just after a tragedy happens.

"It's a job that everybody's got to do but nobody wants to do it", she said. "And I'm no different from anyone else. If I need a police officer, be it TPD or be it the Sheriff's Department I'm sure gonna be appreciative of what they do for me. And that's why I guess I did it. And just to show my appreciation for what they do. They protect me day and night."
