TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee landlord has been arrested, accused of assaulting a pregnant woman at a tenant's residence.

The Leon County Sheriff's Office arrested Sandy Bozeman over the weekend on two counts of aggravated battery.

On Tuesday night around 8:50 p.m., LCSO responded to a disturbance in the 6200 block of Blountstown Highway.

According to the police report, Bozeman, who is a landlord for the property, came to a residence's camper to collect rent from one of the witnesses, which resulted in a verbal altercation between the two.

During the argument, one of the witnesses said Bozeman went around back and shut off the power to the camper. That's when the victim went outside to record Bozeman due to her doing "crazy things" in the past.

As Bozeman confronted the victim to try to snatch her phone out of her hand, the victim pushed her away and warned Bozeman she was pregnant.

Documents say Bozeman ignored the victim and elbowed her in the stomach. After that, a fight broke out, which led to the victim being hit in the head with a flashlight.

Deputies write that the accounts from witnesses corroborated with the victim's.

When interviewed by deputies, Bozeman said she didn't recall "hitting" the victim in the face with a flashlight but admitted it may have hit her when they both fell to the ground.

However, according to the police report, Bozeman changed her story several times.

Deputies say the victim was left with a golf ball size "knot" on her forehead and Bozeman was arrested for aggravated battery and aggravated battery against a person using a deadly weapon.
