TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee woman has been arrested, accused of cutting her daughter with a knife during an argument.
Chrishawndra Rollins, 46, is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after cutting the victim with a knife.
Monday night, officers responded to a home on Laura Street for an aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Once on scene, officers noticed a three-inch-long laceration on the victim's arm.
The victim told police Rollins didn't like the person she's dating and that has caused issues between the two in the past.
According to an arrest report, the victim and her girlfriend went to the store Monday night to buy groceries, and when they got back to the house, Rollins was on the front porch drinking alcohol.
The victim stated that when Rollins drinks she berates her and "bothers" her, so she avoided any confrontation by going through the back door.
According to the report, Rollins saw the victim's partner leaving and got angry, leading to an argument with Rollins in the living room.
The victim said they started to yell at each other when Rollins grabbed a steak knife saying, "I'll go to jail tonight." The victim said that at some point Rollins cut her with the knife before they separated from each other.
Police say the victim was eventually able to get a hold of the knife and put it back in the drawer before calling 911.
When police spoke with Rollins, she said that she and the victim did get into an argument over the victim's partner. She stated that the victim cornered her and spit in her face before running into the kitchen to grab a "handful of stuff," though Rollins never clarified what "stuff" the victim grabbed.
Rollins admitted to grabbing a knife, but said the two never got physical. She told police that the victim must've gotten the laceration on her arm from her partner, though the victim denied the allegation.
The victim said she didn't wish to press charges against Rollins, but based on the evidence, Rollins was charged with aggravated domestic battery with a deadly weapon and transported to Leon County Detention Facility.
