TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A woman is being charged with child abuse after the victim says she beat him with three small tree branches twenty or more times until the switch broke.
Christina Carnage, 30, was arrested by the Leon County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, deputies were contacted by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) that the victim was at school with injuries caused by Carnage to his back and arms.
DCF transported the victim to the Child Protection Team for a forensic interview.
During the interview, the victim said on May 4 Carnage made him take his pants and shirt off. After taking off his clothes, the victim said Carnage beat him with three small branches, that were tied together, all over his back and arms causing multiple lacerations.
The victim stated Carnage hit him twenty or more times with the switch until it broke. The police report states, Carnage then took her belt off and hit him several more times.
Deputies saw at least ten linear marks consistent with being struck with a tree branch or switch on the victim's body.
Deputies were able to make contact with Carnage on Tuesday and she agreed to be interviewed at LCSO. Carnage denied to deputies causing any of the injuries on the victim's body.
Based on the evidence, Carnage is being charged with aggravated child abuse.
She was transported to the Leon County Detention Center.
