TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL)-- Tallahassee has been ranked a top 50 City for Entrepreneurs.
Entrepreneur Magazine released a list in their August Edition that placed Tallahassee 46th in the Nation. This makes the city one of only three in Florida to make the cut.
The rankings were made based on factors such as, unemployment rates, business tax rates, percentage of college educated locals and population increase, among several other data points.
Ben Pingree, the Director of Planning, Land Management, and Community Enhancement for Leon County and the City of Tallahassee says the ranking does not come as a surprise and the the city has a "a great quality of life and low cost of living."
Among other Florida cities, Orlando came in at number 15. Entrepreneur Magazine and Livability.com compiled the rankings.
