TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--A Tallahassee teenager who was diagnosed with a rare chromosome disorder last month is visiting several theme parks next week with the help an organization.

Brandon Dirmann was born 24 weeks early. He has cerebral palsy and autism. Brandon is now 18-years old. He's now undergoing extensive testing to see if he healthy enough for a bone marrow transplant.

Thanks to the Children's Dream Fund, a wish will come true.

Brandon's parents made a surprise visit at his school in Tallahassee Friday morning.

Brandon opened up a box that will take him to some of his favorite places in the world.

Brandon was surrounded by his classmates at the learning when he got the good news. He has 7q deletion.

"Part of his chromosome seven was found to be missing," said his father Chris Dirmann. "That led to some issues with his blood his platelet levels. It is down at 20-thousand where normal is 150 to 400,000."

His parents say he's been to Shands hospital several times for bone biopsies. Now he needs a match for a bone marrow transplant.

He'll be visiting the theme parks next week in Orlando. It will be a week without doctor's appointments and a week of fun.
